The 2026–27 Game

BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX

Official BIOBUZZ presented by RTX game logo with FIRST Tech Challenge lockup

Every FIRST® Tech Challenge season is a brand-new game, revealed to every team on Earth at the same moment. This year the field turns into a hive: robots collect and score Pollen, and the swarm that works together sweetest, wins.

Reveal: Sept 12, 8 AM. We watch the broadcast together, then read the manual the same day.
Two robots from scratch. Each team designs, builds, and programs its own, in Java, by 6th–8th graders.
Home field. League meets run in the Meridian Creek gym — come watch.

How the herd works

Grow

Discovery and innovation, every meeting. We explore new skills and ideas together, and use creativity and persistence to solve problems. Every prototype — including the ones that don't work yet — teaches us something worth keeping.

Compete with heart

Gracious Professionalism® and Coopertition®. We compete hard and cheer harder — sharing parts, knowledge, and encouragement with every team we meet. Helping each other is the best tradition in FIRST.

Belong

Inclusion, teamwork, and fun. Every teammate matters and every voice shapes the robot. We respect each other, embrace our differences, and celebrate what we build — because we're stronger together, and this is supposed to be joyful.
